Past

The company's history begins in 1944, when were established air repair shops, which were subsequently transformed into an air repair base.The status of a plant was received by the enterprise in 1962, whereupon it continued to repair airplanes and air-engines for small aviation. The plant proceeded to designing, manufacturing and delivering airport land equipment in the mid 70s. Since then, in many airport of the former USSR - from Tashkent to Vorkuta and from Kishinev to Vladivostok - one can see passenger airplane-ladders and aviation hangars - the most known products of plant No.409 GA.

Present

After having become Open Joint Stock Company "Airport Facilities Plant", the plant carried on designing and producing facilities for servicing passengers, luggage and cargoes, equipment for maintenance and repair of aviation machinery, special machines, work organization and technological rigging facilities, fuel-filling components, aviation and non-aviation hangars, and production boxes, and other products. Howerer, the plant's products are alsosuccessfully used in other industry fields and in agriculture.

Among the latest developments of the plant are passenger self-propelled ladders SPT-96, allowing passengers to board all types of the high-desk airplanes (Boeing-747, A-310, etc.); container carts TK-2,5, TKU-2F, luggage/cargo carts TBG-1,8, TL-95.

Future

Having gained a great experience in development, manufacture and delivery of equipment, and having retained production capacities and designer potential, JSC "Airport Facilities Plant" continues the tradition of creating new engineering to meet the needs of various fields of industry, transport and agriculture.
